Conferences and Events
Being a valuable resource for today’s Church and community is part of the Northeastern Seminary mission. That’s why we host conferences and symposiums designed to meet the needs of the faith community—to respond to the challenges we face in ministry. Each event is constructed to stimulate thinking, prompt reflection, and incite transformation as we share in God’s mission.
Created for both leaders and laity, these enrichment events feature nationally renowned speakers and cover a broad spectrum of timely, substantive topics in the fields of ministry, theology, scripture, and spiritual formation.

A Call To Justice: Responses to Childhood Poverty
The reality of childhood poverty in the Greater Rochester Region is a growing injustice caused by a complex economic and sociological landscape.
The effects of regional childhood poverty are felt across rural, suburban, and urban communities resulting in a need that is rapidly outgrowing available resources.
The response to the suffering of the vulnerable and oppressed in our community has a defining impact that is inconsistent with the Christian faith.
Answer the call:
- Move beyond information gathering
- Engage in the work already taking place
- Explore how you can make an impact
- Work with constituents and community representatives to identify new avenues for prevention and relief
The B.T. Roberts Symposium on the Church, Justice, and Community is a bi-annual, student-organized event sponsored by Dr. Norman and Nancy Wetterau and family. It was established to examine justice issues through a foundation in theological studies and to foster the awareness of change and include recommendations for the community’s and church’s response to local, national, and global injustices.
Location: Cultural Life Center Roberts Wesleyan College, 2301 Westside Drive Rochester, NY 14624
