Conferences and Events

Being a valuable resource for today’s Church and community is part of the Northeastern Seminary mission. That’s why we host conferences and symposiums designed to meet the needs of the faith communityto respond to the challenges we face in ministry. Each event is constructed to stimulate thinking, prompt reflection, and incite transformation as we share in God’s mission.

Created for both leaders and laity, these enrichment events feature nationally renowned speakers and cover a broad spectrum of timely, substantive topics in the fields of ministry, theology, scripture, and spiritual formation.

Leading Like Jesus:  the embodiment of servant leadership in today’s divided culture

In four sessions, Dr. MaryKate Morse presents the keys to embodied servant leadership by reflecting on the stories of Jesus and presenting practical ways to minister and work more effectively today. Sessions offer time in discovery and development to unveil the kind of power we each hold for leading in ways that are life-giving and reflect the person of Jesus Christ.

The Conference on Ministry series stems from the Seminary’s dedication and commitment to serving the church. Northeastern Seminary hosts multiple events designed to be responsive to the needs of the church locally, nationally, and internationally. This particular conference is a central element of an annual feature of the Seminary’s Doctor of Ministry program in which nationally known experts serve as guest professors for a course in the spring semester.
