Celebrating 20 Years

As students gathered in the fall of 2017, Northeastern Seminary embarked on its twentieth academic year. This milestone year has featured numerous exciting achievements for the institution, including:

  • Reaffirmation of accreditation by both the Association for Theological Schools and the Middle States Commission on Higher Education for the maximum number of years allowed by both accrediting bodies.

  • Preparation and launch of a new competency-based curriculum structure and the offering of all masters degree programs available fully online.

  • Recognition of founding dean, Dr. Wayne McCown, with an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree during his commencement address to graduates entitled, “Where is the Hope?”

The culmination of this year-long celebration will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2018, from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Northeastern Seminary 20th Anniversary Tent. As part of the Roberts Wesleyan College homecoming festival, Seminary students, alumni, faculty, staff, and beloved community members are invited to spend an afternoon in fellowship.
