What Are Students and Alum Saying About Their Studies?

The discussion on worldview, language, and understanding the narrative was very insightful and helpful for my current ministry position. The discussion of humanity created to be the image of God through purpose and vocation was a different perspective that I had not heard before.”

A Northeastern Seminary Student

I was motivated to start seminary because I wanted to continue to grow in my competency as a minister of the Gospel and I wanted to do that in a local community. Since Northeastern is located in Rochester, it was a perfect fit. I've already been encouraged to keep my love for Jesus as my main motivation for ministry while in my classes here. God is calling me to keep following Him whether that is in continued ministry with college students or the opportunity to serve elsewhere. No matter what He asks me to do, I want to have open hands and be prepared."

John Iamaio

I have learned that it is okay, even essential, to examine the biblical texts in light of interpretive perspectives. This includes input from both long-standing and more recent scholarship, coupled with an understanding of the culture and time period in which it has been gathered.”
