Julie Durbin, PhD
Adjunct Professor

Dr. Julie Durbin teaches worship for Northeastern Seminary and English and humanities for Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. From 2000-to 2010, she served as a Free Methodist missionary in Ukraine, and her research toward the PhD focused on perceptions of worship in Ukrainian simple/house churches. Dr. Durbin has led worship in various settings — from multi-cultural gatherings in Europe to her local church in Western Pennsylvania — for over twenty years. As a student of communication, rhetoric, and culture, she is committed to helping the church understand how worship practices form — or deform — disciples of Jesus.
